Itinerary
Tour Description
The Cape Peninsula is one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline on earth, and this private tour explores it through the lens of creativity, architecture and the exceptional people who have chosen to live and work here.
The day begins with the coastal drive along Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most scenic roads, before heading to the off-grid Scone Shack to meet perfumer Tres Nagual and ceramicist Brigitte Lilley, two originals who have built their practice far from the city, in a space as extraordinary as their work.
After lunch in the charming harbour village of Kalk Bay, the afternoon is spent at the Norval Foundation, one of Cape Town’s most important contemporary art institutions, housed in a beautifully considered building on the slopes of the Peninsula.
Transport, entrance fees and lunch are all included. Fully private, maximum 5 guests. This tour suits art lovers, design travellers and anyone wanting to experience the southern Peninsula beyond the standard Cape Point route.
Note: For those wanting to include the classic highlights, the route can be amended to incorporate Cape Point and the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
