Itinerary
Tour Description
This is the Winelands route that most visitors never find. While the crowds head to the usual Stellenbosch circuit, this private tour takes you west and north, through the Paarl Valley and the Breedekloof to a collection of architectural icons and hidden landscapes that feel entirely removed from the tourist trail.
The centrepiece is the Bosjes Chapel, a sculptural masterpiece by Coetzee Steyn set against the Waaihoek Mountains, one of the most photographed buildings in South Africa and genuinely breathtaking in person. The route also includes the Afrikaans Language Monument in Paarl, a landmark piece of modernist design with panoramic views across the valley, and La Motte in Franschhoek for its gallery, wine and architectural spaces.
The day unfolds at a considered pace, with time to walk, photograph and absorb each space properly. All transport, entrance fees and lunch are included. Fully private, maximum 5 guests.
This tour is particularly suited to architecture enthusiasts, photographers and travellers who want to discover a side of the Winelands that guidebooks don’t cover.
